Mara was born on January 20, 1972 to Robert Carr and Barbara Carr in New Bedford, MA. Mara was an identical twin and had a best friend in her sister Martha from the day they were born. The family lived in New Bedford and later moved to East Sandwich where Mara attended and graduated from Sandwich High School, class of 1990. Upon finishing high school, she attended the post graduate program at the Stoneleigh-Burnham School, and in later years, the radiology technician program at Massasoit Community College. Mara was so proud to be Certified Radiology Technician and worked at RHCI Rehabilitation Hospital, Cape Cod Orthopedics, and most recently at Falmouth Hospital.
